- Pensioners and health care card holders pay a reduced consulting fee.

- Outpatient consulting fees are generally not rebatable from Private health funds
- Informed financial consent is discussed with all patients electing to use their private health fund for surgery. Uninsured patients are referred to Western Health waiting lists for elective surgery.

Do I need to fast for surgery?
- Usually 6 hours of fasting (no intake of food or any liquids) is essential before any general anaesthetic for surgery. Please advise us of all current medications and many can be taken prior to fasting
